The Colorado Jazz Orchestra will launch this year's Sunset Jazz Artist Series with a Thursday concert at the University of Northern Colorado.

The concert will be 7 p.m. in the Panorama Lounge of the University Center on the corner of 11th Avenue and 20th Street.

The orchestra is a professional big band in Greeley formed by pianist Dana Landry, drummer Jim White and conductor/composer David Caffey, all from the faculty of the UNC School of Music. This show will feature the music of Thelonious Monk.

Admission is $8 for the general public, free for UNC students and faculty/staff with ID, and $5 for non-UNC students or faculty/staff with ID. Tickets available at the door only; reservations are not being accepted. More information is available at (970) 351-2394 or at www.uncjazz.com.
