Sara Dionne Croot and George Downes Sliwiak, both of Denver, were married on June 30 at the Brown Palace in Denver.
Croot is the daughter of Michael and Vicki Croot of Greeley. She graduated Greeley Central High School in 1996, and graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in business/finance. Croot works as vice president of commercial real estate at Compass Bank in Denver.
Sliwiak is the son of Maureen Sliwiak of Highland Park, N.J., and George Sliwiak Sr. of Port Jervis, N.Y. He works as a sales manager for Crown Equipment Co. in Aurora.
Michelle Zack of Denver was the maid of honor. Laureen Heissenbuttel of Denver, sister of the groom, Dina Sliwiak of Hoboken, N.J., sister of the groom, Molly Schroeder of Omaha, Neb., cousin of the bride, Amy Smoyer of Alexandria, Va., cousin of the bride, Marcy Erickson of Omaha, cousin of the bride, Heather Duncan of Denver, and Heather Campbell of Boston were bridesmaids.
George Sliwiak Sr. of Port Jervis, Tom Heissenbuttel Jr. of Denver, brother-in-law of the groom, Grant Croot of Fort Collins, brother of the bride, Eran Baitel of Edison, N.J., Danny Abbruscato of East Windsor, N.J., Bobby McCarthy of Farmingdale, N.J., Phillip Lochner of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Mike Sharpe of Denver were groomsmen.
