Counter-terrorism expert to give presentations in northern Colorado

An expert on counter-terrorism will speak in northern Colorado next month.Joe Ruffini, a retired U.S. Army Colonel, will give two presentations hosted by Aims Community College and The Northeast Colorado Regional EMS/Trauma Advisory Council on Feb. 8. The event will take place at the Aims Corporate Education Center, 5590 11th St. in Greeley, and it costs $25 per person.
According to a release, Ruffini has a long history in the counter-terrorism field and recently served on the White House Security Council. He also was an executive consultant for the United States Space and Strategic Commands.
The presentations, which are slated to cover Terror Awareness, Preparedness and Prevention, will be divided up. Residents, government officials and school administrators are encouraged to attend the first presentation from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. while police, fire, ambulance and emergency service personnel are invited to the second presentation, from 1-5 p.m.
