Clean energy focus of CSU luncheon

Several alumni of Colorado State University will speak on "Power of Green: Sustainability and Alternative Energy" at the first Spotlight on CSU luncheon.

The lunch will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Hilton Fort Collins. The discussion will focus on clean energy initiatives at CSU and beyond.

Cost is $30 per person or $25 for current members of the CSU Alumni Association. RSVP by March 11.

Speakers on Thursday will include: Carl Hammerdorfer, director of CSU's Global Social and Sustainable Enterprise Masters' in Sustainable Business Administration Program; Henry Liu, president of Freight Pipeline Company, who earned a doctorate in civil engineering from CSU; and Russ Kanjorski, strategic planning director for AVA Solar, a solar-panel technology firm developed and patented by CSU mechanical engineering professor W.S. Sampath.
