MILLIKEN -- Water shares and zone changes are on the agenda for the Milliken town board tonight.

The board will consider the second reading of an ordinance and public hearing for an industrial zone change for a cement blocks building company, said Milliken Mayor Linda Measner.

Measner said the company, Hunters Cove LLC., proposed the zone change because it needs outdoor storage, which is only allowed in the industrial zones.

Measner expects there to be no public response to the hearing.

In addition to the zone change and public hearing, the board will consider the purchase of 20 shares of Colorado Big Thompson Water for $190,000.

While Measner said she wished the city could afford more shares, she expects the board to approve the purchase.

Also set for the consent agenda is the approval of a professional engineering services group to help with in house accounting and auditing. And consideration of a energy an mineral impact assistance program application for the town’s comprehensive plan.

The meeting, open to the public, is at 7 p.m. tonight in the Milliken Community Complex, 1101 Broad St.
