Pedestrian hit on I-25; state patrol seeks Ford

The Colorado State Patrol is looking for the vehicle that hit a pedestrian in the northbound lanes of Interstate 25 about six miles south of the Wyoming border early Thursday morning.

The victim, identified as Anthony Moralez, 32, of Cheyenne, Wyo., was taken to the Medical Center of the Rockies and is listed in critical condition, according to a release from the state patrol.

The incident occurred at 2:44 a.m. Thursday, when Moralez was walking along the right shoulder of the highway and was hit by the truck.

Investigators are looking for a large Ford vehicle, possibly a 650 series to a larger, which they believe may have hit the pedestrian. The vehicle did not stop after the pedestrian was hit. and likely is missing its right front turn signal housing and may also have noticeable right front damage.

Colorado State patrol reports showed they believe alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the state patrol at (303) 239-4583.
