Cheyenne man dies in ATV accident

A Cheyenne man died Saturday afternoon while riding a four-wheel all-terrain vehicle, according to the Weld County Sheriff's Office.

The crash occurred shortly before 4:47 p.m. near Weld County Roads 121 and 47 in the Pawnee National Grasslands, said Margie Martinez, a spokeswoman with the Sheriff's Office.

The man, 47, was with a group and was coming up a steep hill when his vehicle fall back on him. No one else was injured.

The man was pronounced dead when medical crews arrived.

The Sheriff's Office said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
