NCMC donates $50,000 to College Promise

Print Comment
North Colorado Medical Center will provide scholarships to Greeley-Evans School District 6 students interested in healthcare degrees at Aims Community College.

NCMC donated $50,0000 to the new Aims College Promise scholarship program.

Students eligible for the program can receive up to $2,000, which covers full-time, in-district tuition rates for a year.

College Promise's goal is to give high school students the chance to get started on their college education.

The NCMC endowment brings the fund's goal to nearly $150,000. While the NCMC donation is targeted to healthcare, the remaining funds are not limited by students' interests.

Weld businessman Scott Ehrlich started the College Promise fund last year with a $20,000 donation.

The following community members and businesses have donated to the fund: Ehrlich Toyota, C.W. Eastwood, EnviroTech Services, Flood and Peterson Insurance, Nick Francis, Richard Kemme, Bob Tointon, Robert Waltman, Elverda Peddycord, Honda of Greeley and NCMC.

Anyone interested in contributing to the Aims College Promise can contact Aims Foundation Director Julie Buderus at Julie.buderus@aims.edu or (970) 339-6583.
