Eaton starting kindergarten registration

Starting Thursday, Eaton Elementary will start registering kids for kindergarten and screening will take place Friday.

Registration is from 6 to 8 p.m. at Eaton Elementary School, 200 Park Ave. Children starting kindergarten in the fall need to be five by June 1.

The principal along with the secretary and school nurse will be on hand to help parents with paperwork and answer any questions.

Eaton Elementary will be screening each incoming kindergartner. Parents are asked to schedule a screening time the night of registration. Screenings will be taking place all day on Friday at the school. Parents are asked to bring proof of residency, such as a rent receipt, utility bill with address, driver's license, along with the child's birth certificate and immunization record.
