The event, which is also celebrated in Washington DC, New York City, Miami, Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles, is promoted as “America’s Largest Earth Day Celebration.”
Trade in the Hummer for a bike this weekend and enjoy the line-up of more than 40 bands the event brings to the Mile-High City.
Groups playing various venues around the metro area include the Aquatic Life, Will Rockit, Dark Star Orchestra, Foxy Shazam and Home Slice.
I have to admit I haven’t heard of any of these bands, and know absolutely nothing about them, but just based on these names they have to be amazing!

Residents of our nations capital this weekend get to hear Jordin Sparks perform the National Anthem, O.A.R. perform an acoustic set and the Roots.
In San Francisco Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart will perform with Jon Fishman of Phish.
And on Sunday starting at noon in Denver, The Neville Brothers, The Benevento/Russo Duo, Rose Hill Drive and The Heyday perform at the corner of 17th Avenue and York Street for free.
