Riesberg to host foreclosure forum Saturday

Rep. Jim Riesberg, D-Greeley, will host a community forum Saturday to help residents at risk of losing their homes to foreclosure.

Riesberg will host the forum as part of "Foreclosure Prevention Awareness Week" from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Jack Meakins Community Resource Center, 3700 Golden St., Evans.

Riesberg joined Gov. Bill Ritter and Sen. Ken Salazar Monday to kick off the week to help people who are in danger of losing their homes get the help they need from area agencies. On Saturday, Riesberg will give an overview of legislation designed to help homeowners, according to a release.

The Colorado Housing and Finance Authority was given a $1.5 million grant to distribute to seven front range communities to help with foreclosures.
