Your Two Cents for April 25

Thanks, Weld board

I would like to thank the Weld County Board of Commissioners for having passed comprehensive toll road regulations requiring private toll road companies to adhere to the strict requirements in the development of a private toll road in Weld County.

Jim, Galeton

Bruce speaks the truth

God bless Douglas Bruce for speaking the truth. I know people don't want to hear it, but it's out there, it's the truth.

Traffic tickets drive away UNCstudents

Mayor Ed Clark disappoints me. When he was running for mayor, he came to my front door and told me that he wanted new police officers to reduce crime, not traffic. The traffic tickets are just another negative for University of Northern Colorado students not to come back to Greeley. Our crime rate and gang activity has not changed one bit with the new officers.

Don't judge principal before you know him

My wife and I grew up in Greeley and graduated from Greeley Central. Mark Rangel's classroom was next to our locker. He was a very down-to-earth man. We both were in his senior health class, and he showed his students respect and cared for all of us regardless of our grades, appearance or social status. I feel sick to know that people are judging him before he's had a chance to lead a school he knows from a teacher's perspective.

James, Milliken

Monfort Park is finally free of dogs

Thank you, kudos and congratulations to the Greeley Police Department for finally cleaning up Monfort Park of all of these stupid dogs. Thank you for letting our children run around that park and not have to step in dog doo-doo.

Mary, Greeley
