Hearing on water measure moved to this morning

Print Comment
Senate Bill 247, a late bill introduced in the Colorado General Assembly designed to give some relief to irrigation well owners in the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District, has been moved to a first hearing before the Senate State Affairs Committee. The measure will be heard at about 9:30 a.m., today.

Originally, the bill was to be heard by the Senate Agriculture Committee at 1:30 p.m. The measure could provide water from the Colorado-Big Thompson Project to be used by Central as substitute water for well depletions in its water augmentation — replacement — plan.
