It looks like our springtime weather is finally going to "spring" into action this week, and we really could use the moisture.
Today will start off with some sun, but look for building clouds by afternoon and a few thunderstorms. Not everyone will get the rain, but a few locations will receive a nice soaking later tonight. Some of the showers will continue overnight and into Wednesday morning.
We'll feel a slight cool down along with the rain, but don't expect the big cooldown that we experienced last week. Highs today will be in the low 70s, and we'll cool about 10 degrees on Wednesday, when high temperatures will reach the lower 60s.
Slightly unsettled weather continues Thursday, followed by a brief break on Friday and another chance of showers on Saturday.
With the good (rain) comes the bad (severe weather). May-June is prime time in Weld County for severe storms, with large hail and tornadoes occurring most often in these two months.
