Greeley City Council to consider more pawnbroker changes tonight

Print Comment
Greeley City Council will consider easing new rules regarding pawn shops that it passed in July 2007 when it meets tonight.

The council will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight in council chambers, 919 7th St.

According to a draft ordinance from city legal staff, the amendments to the ordinance would exclude auto pawnbrokers only from subscribing to a free Internet-based service to ensure the goods people pawn aren't stolen.

The proposed amendments also ease rules to getting a pawnbroker's license in Greeley.
