Rainfall is once again possible this afternoon. Typical springtime afternoon thunderstorms will dot the Greeley horizon after some morning sunshine. Expect high temperatures throughout Weld County to top out in the mid-60s. Northwest winds will blow up to 15 mph.
Rainfall is not uncommon in Greeley during the month of May. In fact, May is typically Greeley's wettest month of the entire year. Average rainfall is around 2.45 inches. The second wettest month is April, but this year April did not see beneficial rains.
As we slide into the weekend, expect sunshine on Friday before another strong cold front slices its way into northern Colorado on Saturday. Parts of Weld could see rain mixed with snow on Saturday along with high temperatures in the low to mid 50s. High pressure moves back into Colorado and Mother's Day delivering sunshine and highs around 70.
If you're headed into the mountains today expect morning sunshine and afternoon thunderstorms possibly mixing with snow; 9,000-foot highs: mid-40s.
