Dance Dynamics to offer summer camps

JOHNSTOWN -- Jenny Frank has been dancing since she was 3. Her love for the sport led to her teaching dance by age 16, which eventually helped her pay her way through college.

When Frank moved to Johnstown with her husband in 2004, she knew it was her chance to open a dance studio. Now four years later, that studio, called Jenny's Dance Dynamics, rests at 2131 Weld County Road 15, and Frank passes her love for dance on to her students.

"I might not make a billion dollars a year, but to me all that matters is if I can make a difference in someone's life," Frank said.

This summer she will offer Jenny's Dance Dynamics summer camps. The studio offers a camp for kids interested in dance, karate and musical theater.

"It gives kids the opportunity to try a new style or genre of dance without a full year-long commitment," Frank said.

However, some kids find they enjoy the classes so much they continue to take lessons year-round. This summer, Frank will add the karate and musical theater classes in addition to dance.

Classes are open to boys and girls ages 3 and up, depending on the class, Frank said.

Prices range from $70 to $300 depending on the class, which include a T-shirt, food and a decorative tile for the facilities wall.
