We are Evanistas, not Evansonians

Hi, this in response to the 'Real poop about Evans.' Hey, Mike Peters, just a slight point of clarification. Us fun-loving folks in Evans are called Evanistas, not Evansonians.

Should we all pay to clean up after dogs?

There are at least 36 parks in Greeley. Are you taxpayers willing to spend about $400 a day, and capitalize "a day," to have park employees clean up after irresponsible dog owners? Plus, you should see what dog owners are doing to the Poudre Trail.

Keep dogs out of parks

I do not think dogs need to be in parks. They are not safe around little kids, and people don't clean up after them.

ON COLLEGE DRINKING

Isn't drinking in public against the law?

I thought that drinking in public was against the law. Obviously, these kids were drinking out in the open and the chief of police was probably sitting on his hands because he felt like that they were privileged. He stopped a concert because they were minorities and now he admits that these kids had the right to drink in public like a bunch of idiots.

'That's promoting kids getting drunk ...'

I was reading the paper today in regard to "Here's your (drinking) sign" of the end of the graduating class drinking as people honk. I think that's disgusting. That's promoting kids getting drunk and alcohol poisoning. Police should not be showing their approval. They should be educating these students into alcohol poisoning.
