After a somewhat exciting week of weather changes, we're in for a several day stretch of quiet times around Weld County. We have been "teased" a number of times this year by a day of nice spring weather followed by cold and rain or snow. I think for everyone who is tired of that routine the next 4-5 days will be a welcome change of pace.
Temperatures start out this morning in the chilly zone: Mid to upper 30s. We will quickly bounce back into the upper 60s by this afternoon. If you think that is warm, just wait another day or two.
A large, storm-blocking ridge of high pressure will slide our way from the West coast. That means plentiful sunshine for Saturday and Sunday along with a warm up. Afternoon high temperatures on Saturday will make it into the upper 70s. Then on Sunday, we soar into the 80s. Mid to Upper 80s are possible in the Greeley area on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Yes, the heat will be on.
