The Northern Colorado Riding Club will host its first working ranch horse show of the season today at the Greeley Saddle Club Arena north of Island Grove Regional Park.
The show will include reining and trail, a clinic and competition. The clinic will begin at 9 a.m., and competition will start at 1 p.m. The morning clinics will cover basic maneuvers, practice patterns and scoring of reining, followed by necessary maneuvers, individual obstacles and negotiating courses in trail riding.
The afternoon competition is designed for clinic participants to practice what they learned in the morning sessions. A brief critique and awards will follow the afternoon events.
