Welcome sunshine! Today's high temperatures will help us forget the gray couple of days we've just passed.

The National Weather Service reports today's highs will be around 82 degrees, dipping to 52 tonight.

The weekend weather will be much of teh same. Saturday and Sunday will be sunny with a high near 80 degrees with only a slight chance of showers on Sunday.

Here are some events to keep you busy today:

• RELAY FOR LIFE, 6 p.m. opening ceremonies, Island Grove Regional Park, 14th Avenue and A Street in Greeley. The luminary ceremony will be at 9 p.m., and there will be special events and contests throughout the night.

• HIGH PLAINS LIBRARY DISTRICT PROGRAMS: TEEN MOVIE, 2-4 p.m. Fridays through Aug. 8 (except July 4), at all three Greeley libraries. Free “Go for the Gold” movie and snacks. Details, www. Join us this month for an edgy documentary that explores the dramatic sport of wheelchair rugby. This is an award-winning and candid film. Rated R - anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
