The Poudre Learning Center's Nature Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Poudre Learning Center, 8313 F St., Greeley.

The club was formed to build an appreciation for nature.

Members will do a plant walk at the learning center. They will see how many native and non-native plants they can identify and talk about each species along the way.

The program is free.

Contact the learning center at (970) 352-1267 or go to www.plc.greeleyschools.org.

The Colorado Division of Wildlife will host two public meetings to gather comments on the Georgetown bighorn sheep herd.

The meetings may help the department establish some hunting guidelines for the high-profile group of sheep.

The meetings are at 7 p.m. June 30 and July 7. The June 30 meeting is at the Georgetown Community Center, 613 6th St., Georgetown, and the July 7 meeting is at the Hunter Education Building, 6060 Broadway, Denver.

Those members of the public who wish to comment but cannot attend a meeting can e-mail comments to Jennifer Churchill at jennifer.churchill@state.co.us. The deadline for submitting comments is July 14.
