The warm days that we have been experiencing lately have allowed us to begin working in our garden. My husband Adan Vega and our granddaughter Anahi Retana decided to get into the mode of things and began to dig into the dirt to create what would eventually be a watermelon patch. His name is Daxter, 4 months old. While I was working at my computer, Daxter was laying in my lap. He fell asleep on the keyboard, which made it hard to work. I showed this picture to all my friends and family, and they told me that he was working so hard that he fell asleep on the job. They thought it would be cool to see him in the paper. My 16-year-old daughter is taking a photography class and took this picture of our 4-year-old blue nose pit bull. We thought the caption should say: "Who says all pit bulls are mean?" We adopted our sweet Rasha Bleu from the Humane Society of Weld County and have had so much joy added to our lives with her hysterical, clownish ways.
